This photo was taken from West Vancouver, Canada looking over the Burrard Inlet towards Downtown Vancouver. I had spent several hours taking pictures that day, my gear was packed up and when I turned around for a last look I saw this image. The photo is named “Evolution” because this picture shows the passage of time in a very unique way: the rocks in the foreground are some of the oldest on the North American continent, a random event of nature pushed up rocks from deep in earths crust to the surface millions of years ago. On the horizon is the City of Vancouver, one of the newest cities in North America and that gave this picture its name.
